Call of Duty to crossover with Warhammer 40K

Ever since Call of Duty began to lean heavily into its live service elements, we have seen a plethora of crossovers announced and released, including the likes of The Walking Dead; Tomb Raider; DOOM; DUNE; Diablo, and many more. The latest franchise set to collab with Call of Duty is Warhammer 40k.

Hot on the heels of the announced release date for PowerWash Simulator x Warhammer 40k, Games Workshop is collabing with another title: Call of Duty.

As reported by COD insider CharlieIntel, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (and Warzone) are set to get a number of Warhammer 40k bundles.

Three bundles will be available: the Sisters of Battle tracer pack; Space Marines tracer pack and the Astra Militarum tracer pack.

For the uninitiated, tracer packs are simply bundles which include unique visuals for weapons, be it the bullets and muzzle flashes, or death effects.

No pricing has been revealed, though as with most COD crossovers, expect them to be costly.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
