Noctua’s latest all-black coolers are perfect for compact PC builds

Noctua is expanding its line-up of all-black CPU coolers this month with the new chromax.black NH-D9L and NH-L9x65. Both coolers stay true to Noctua's successful formula of quiet fans paired with a sizable heatsink, while moving towards a more stealthy design over the traditional brown and beige colour scheme.

The new NH-D9L chromax.black and NH-L9x65 chromax.black are identical to the regular models except for the colour, with a black coated heatsink, black fans with black anti-vibration-pads, black fan clips and black mounting parts.

The NH-D9L has been designed to provide excellent efficiency at a height of only 110mm, making it very low-profile and perfect for smaller builds. On the other hand we have the NH-L9x65, which covers a middle ground between the larger NH-L12 series and the ultra-compact NH-L9 coolers. With 65mm instead of 37mm height and four instead of two heatpipes, the NH-L9x65 is more powerful than its smaller siblings yet retains the NH-L9i’s 95x95mm footprint.

Both coolers use Noctua's NF-A9 and NF-A9x14 fans. The NH-D9L chromax.black will be available soon, priced at $74.90 and the NH-L9x65 chromax.black will launch at $69.90.

KitGuru Says: Noctua has always made reliable coolers and you typically get long-term support too, with the option of mounting upgrades for newer sockets when the time comes.
