Rocksteady co-founders reportedly working with Xbox on new game

Rocksteady co-founders, Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker, left the studio a couple of years ago, as Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was entering its production push. Now, the pair have formed a new studio, free from the clutches of Warner Bros. It seems the new company already has a publisher lined up for its first game too.

Hill and Walker's new studio, Hundred Star Games, has reportedly signed a publishing agreement with Xbox Game Studios, which would mean that their first game should come to Xbox and PC, as well as Game Pass.

According to Exputer writer, eXtas1s, who has accurately leaked a few things in the past, Hundred Star Games is working on a AAA, single-player action-adventure, utilising Unreal Engine 5. While it isn't confirmed to be an Xbox console exclusive, we would normally say that such an outcome would be likely. However, Microsoft has been pushing for more multiplatform game releases this year, so we'll have to wait and see.

Microsoft is currently gearing up for the Xbox Game Showcase on June 9th, during which the company will announce new games from partners and first-party studios.

KitGuru Says: Given how Suicide Squad has turned out, and the insanity going on in the boardrooms at WB, it seems Hill and Walker left at a good time. Hopefully their new studio can see success with this new game.
