Larian will announce Baldur’s Gate 3’s Xbox release at The Game Awards

In recent weeks, Larian has made it very clear that the Xbox version of Baldur's Gate 3 is coming along nicely. The development team even significantly reduced the game's memory usage while optimising for the Series S, a benefit that will be coming to other platforms as well. Now, it looks like we're in for an announcement of the Xbox launch at The Game Awards.

Baldur's Gate 3 was revealed as a nominee for several categories at The Game Awards this year, including the coveted GOTY award. It would seem that Larian has more planned for the show than just accepting awards, as the studio has now confirmed it will be releasing a new game trailer during the show.

The new trailer will be a world premiere for the Xbox release but given the likelihood that this game will win at least one award at the event, we would hope that there is a bit more planned – perhaps we'll see a tease for future content in 2024.

KitGuru Says: Baldur's Gate 3 seems like a safe bet for GOTY this year. The fact that Larian has announcements planned ahead of the event signals to me that they like their chances too.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
