Lies of P sequel officially confirmed

Lies of P released back in September to a wave of success, with many deeming the Souls-like to be one of the best in the genre (outside of FromSoftware’s own titles of course). With the game having sold over 1 million copies in less than a month, the team at NEOWIZ have officially confirmed that Lies of P will be getting a sequel.

In a director’s letter published to YouTube, ‘Ji Won Choi’ thanked fans for the success of Lies of P, giving a glimpse at the title’s upcoming DLC while also confirming that the game will receive a sequel, saying (as translated by Eurogamer): “Our highest priority is developing the DLC and working on our sequel.”

While it was already known that DLC was in the works, the announcement of a sequel comes as a welcome surprise. While likely to be many years away, it is exciting to know that those who enjoyed Lies of P will not only be treated to DLC but a full fat sequel, allowing the team to hopefully address the game’s few criticisms while doubling down on what worked with the first game – all the while introducing new and interesting mechanics.

NEOWIZ seemed to have almost nailed it on their first attempt, with many deeming Lies of P to be the best non-FromSoft Souls-like, and so it will be interesting to see what the team have planned for the sequel.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
