Annapurna Interactive is developing a Blade Runner game

Annapurna Interactive has published plenty of excellent games since bursting onto the scene in 2016, but the company has not endeavoured into in-house development. That is finally changing, with Annapurna launching its new studio, Annapurna Games, and the first project is already lined up.

Annapurna Games will get its start with Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth. This is an original game set in the Blade Runner universe, taking place between the original film and its sequel, Blade Runner 2049.

The game appears to be in early development, as the reveal trailer was purely cinematic. Hopefully we learn more about the game in 2024 as there are no further details at this time.

Annapurna Games was founded back in 2020 and began hiring senior developers for its first project in 2022. Depending on how ambitious the game is, we could be looking at a several year wait.
