AMD’s first Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs launch later this month, prices start at $449

At CES last month AMD officially announced its new Ryzen 7000X3D series processors, promising three SKUs equipped with 3D V-cache to provide a boost to gaming performance. Today, AMD is finally announcing availability and pricing for each of these processors, starting at $449 for the Ryzen 7 7800X3D.

With Ryzen 5000, AMD launched its first X3D processor, utilising 3D V-Cache. We only got one SKU back then but a new wave of X3D CPUs are now on the way for Ryzen 7000. There will be two Ryzen 9 SKUs and a Ryzen 7 option, all featuring 3D V-Cache technology, which can provide a nice performance boost for memory-demanding tasks, like gaming.

Today, AMD has announced availability and pricing for the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, the Ryzen 9 7900X3D and the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. You can see specs and pricing for each of the three chips in the table below:

Model Cores/Threads Boost/Base Frequency Cache TDP SEP (USD)
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D 16C/32T Up to 5.7 GHz / 4.2 GHz 144MB 120W $699
AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D 12C/24T Up to 5.6 GHz / 4.4 GHz 140MB 120W $599
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8C/16T Up to 5.0 GHz / 4.2 GHz 104MB 120W $449

The Ryzen 9 7950X3D and the Ryzen 9 7900X3D will be available starting on the 28th of February. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D will be launching on the 6th of April.
