EA Sports announces UFC 5, more details coming in September

EA has officially confirmed that UFC 5 is currently in development, with a full reveal scheduled for September.

While no specific platforms have been confirmed, we suspect that EA Sports UFC 5 will be released for PC and current-gen consoles. Like many other games, the next UFC game will probably skip the last-gen consoles.

In 2021, there were rumours that EA had put the development of a new Fight Night game on hold in order to focus on the UFC franchise. Initially, the MMA title was expected to be released in late 2022. However, the development process seems to have taken longer than anticipated, as the announcement is only being made now.

Like the previous UFC games, fans can expect a visually stunning game. While EA Sports UFC 4 received a positive reception, there is still room for improvement in some game mechanics. Many players would also like to see in-game ads removed but we'll have to wait and see.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
