Homelander, Starlight and more coming to Call of Duty

Last month Call of Duty teased that the first-person shooter franchise would be crossing over with the popular adult superhero show The Boys. Now, the full extent of the collab has been announced, with 3 of Vought’s super ‘heroes’ set to come to Call of Duty.

Making the announcement on Twitter, the Vought International account (The Boys’ in-universe corporation) said “BREAKING: Vought and VNN can exclusively confirm that Homelander, Black Noir and a hero who shall not be named are coming to @callofduty. More insightful soundbites from Noir in this press conference for the ages!”

Alongside this, a brief teaser trailer was shared which confirms that the three operator skins will be available to purchase this Wednesday, the 12th of July. no pricing details have been shared, however based on the previous crossovers don’t expect it to be cheap.

It has been interesting to see Call of Duty taking notes from Fortnite, and while not every previous collab has worked out well, what we have seen of The Boys’ models do look rather sharp. The Call of Duty x The Boys crossover will go live tomorrow.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
