Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon is being remastered for the Switch

With the Nintendo Switch well in its twilight years, many fans were wondering what kind of announcements were in store for the most recent Nintendo Direct. Interestingly, the Direct focused quite heavily on Mario and co. – with a remaster of the 3DS Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon being revealed.

Releasing some time in 2024, Nintendo announced that “a visually enhanced version of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, originally released on Nintendo 3DS, is currently in development and coming to #NintendoSwitch.”

Few details have been shared so far, but based on the footage, the game looks to be much more than a simple remaster. Of course, it is hard to tell how high quality the assets and models for the original Dark Moon are due to it being on the 3DS (which has a screen resolution of 400×240p).

Still, this seems to be closer to a Metroid Prime situation than a mere upscale. Hopefully we get to see more from the game (including which studio is developing it) sooner rather than later.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
