The Callisto Protocol story DLC finally arrives next week

It has been around six months since The Callisto Protocol launched and many players have likely been done with the game for months. You may soon want to reinstall it though, as the game's promised story expansion is just around the corner.

The Callisto Protocol returns to headlines this week, as Striking Distance has confirmed that Final Transmission, the game's one and only story expansion, is finally launching on the 27th of June … for PS5 players at least.

The DLC will be available exclusively on PS5 for the first 48 hours, so if you play The Callisto Protocol on Xbox or PC, you'll need to hang on until the 29th of June to get access to the new content.

We still don't know much about The Final Transmission DLC, all Striking Distance has confirmed so far is that it is story DLC. With that in mind, we don't know how much content is on offer, or if the DLC will be sold standalone outside of the season pass. For now, if you do want to grab the new story content, you will need to buy the full season pass for the game.

KitGuru Says: Given the lack of details about the DLC, I'd hold off on buying the season pass until we see reviews/impressions. Do any of you already own the season pass? Will you be reinstalling The Callisto Protocol for the new story DLC?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
