Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty gets updated PC system requirements

Cyberpunk 2077's big expansion, Phantom Liberty, is heading our way in September. With this expansion, CD Projekt Red is officially dropping support for last-gen consoles, with new features and content aimed squarely at PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 users. As a result, the game's PC system requirements have also been updated.

If you had a system that met the minimum requirements for Cyberpunk 2077 already, then chances are the game will continue to run, but you may see a performance hit. Phantom Liberty also introduces Patch 1.7, which completely overhauls major portions of the game, with further improvements to AI, vehicle combat and proper police chases with a Rockstar-style 5-star wanted system, with the stakes ramping up with each star, eventually leading to Max-Tac coming after you.

The new PC system requirements for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty can be seen below:

Minimum (low graphics, 1080p, 30FPS):

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
  • Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB or Arc A380
  • RAM: 12GB
  • Storage: 70GB SSD

Recommended (high graphics, 1080p, 60FPS):

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-12700 or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X
  • Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060 Super or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT or Arc A770
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Storage: 70GB SSD

Ultra (ultra graphics, 4K, 60FPS):

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i9-12900 or AMD Ryzen 9 7900X
  • Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
  • RAM: 20GB
  • Storage: 70GB NVME

These are the system requirements for those not interested in turning on Ray Tracing. If you do want to use RT features, then the system requirements rise considerably, with the minimum spec calling for an Intel Core i9 or AMD Ryzen 9 processor, as much as 20GB of system RAM and an RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics card.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty releases on the 26th of September.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
