Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth arrives in Early 2024

A couple weeks ago Ryu Ga Gotoku (RGG Studio) announced that they would be hosting a 2023 Summer Summit on the 16th of June in which we would get information on the team’s new and upcoming projects. Despite this, the studio made an appearance during Summer Game Fest Kick Off with Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. Once again, ahead of the 2023 Summer Summit, RGG Studio showed off their other in-development project – Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Arriving in Early 2024, Like a Dragon: Infinite wealth is the next mainline entry in the Like a Dragon (Yakuza) series in which “an unexpected chain of events sets two legendary ex-yakuza, Kasuga Ichiban and Kazuma Kiryu, on a larger-than-life adventure as dual playable protagonists.”

The lighthearted trailer seems to suggest that Infinite Wealth is set outside of Japan, somewhere in the USA. With how much Like a Dragon’s identity has been tied to its Japanese locations and culture, it will be interesting to see how these protagonists navigate this entirely new situation.

Regardless, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth looks to be a whole lot of fun. Hopefully we get to see more including gameplay during the upcoming 2023 RGG Studio Summer Summit.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
