Dead Cells creators are now making their own Castlevania game

A couple of years back, Motion Twin and Evil Empire teamed up with Konami to bring Castlevania content to their hit rougelike Dead Cells. Now fast forward to 2026 and the two studios are now collaborating with Konami once again, this time for an official Castlevania game.

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is the first new Castlevania game since 2014. The game is set in 1499 Paris, where Trevor Belmont's successor wields the Vampire Killer to take down new supernatural forces.

While the game was announced during Sony's State of Play showcase, it is not a PS5 exclusive and will also be coming to PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox.

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse does not yet have a full release date but it is due to come out later this year.

KitGuru Says: Considering the success of the Castlevania Dead Cells DLC, I imagine this game will also do quite well.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
