Computex 2023: Kioxia launches new Exceria Plus G3 SSD with huge efficiency gains

At Computex this week, Kioxia is launching its latest SSD, the EXCERIA PLUS G3, promising up to 2TB capacity at more affordable prices compared to the new generation of PCIe 5 SSDs.

The EXCERIA PLUS G3 Series will leverage PCIe 4.0 technology and offer up to 2 terabytes (TB) of capacity. The new series is well-suited to mainstream users of high-performance gaming PCs, desktops and notebooks, bringing the speed and affordability that they require.

In the gallery above, you can get a good look at everything on show at the Kioxia booth at Computex this year. There aren't many new products here, but Kioxia is clearly gearing up to strengthen its position in the SSD market in the coming years.

The Exceria Plus G3 SSD is still in development, so it won't be available until later in the year. When it does land, it will boast 70% greater power efficiency compared to the previous G2 SSD.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
