PowerWash Simulator surpasses 7 million players

Ever since its launch last Summer, PowerWash Simulator has been able to keep fans captivated not only through its satisfying gameplay loop, but also thanks to a number of free updates which included a whole host of exciting crossover content. Now, the team at FuturLab have officially announced that PowerWash Simulator has drawn in over 7 million players.

Making the announcement via a press release, the team said “Award winning game developer FuturLab is thrilled to announce that its surprise indie hit, PowerWash Simulator has reached a huge seven million players, doubling their player count in the last six months.”

Speaking on this success, Kirsty Rigden, the Co-CEO of FuturLab added “With over 7 million players, we are honoured that so many people have found their zen with PowerWash Simulator. The strength in our community is palpable. Since we launched into Early Access, the support for our soothing sim has been immense, and we are extremely grateful that this has continued to strengthen past release.”

As mentioned, since its release last year, the game has seen a great deal of fun and exciting free content, including crossovers with Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy VII. With a roadmap spanning the whole year and including both free and paid DLC every Quarter of 2023, it is safe to assume that more players will flock to the game as time goes on – possibly pushing PowerWash Simulator to 10+ million players.

Of course, with the title being available on Xbox Game Pass, 7 million players does not equate to 7 million copies sold. Still, the game’s success is notable and begs the question as to what FuturLab have planned for the title following the conclusion of its 2023 roadmap. We will have to wait and see.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
