Hogwarts Legacy has made over $1 billion since launch

Back in February just two weeks after the game's launch, WB announced that the game had sold 12 million copies so far. Now, just as the game is launching for Xbox One and PS4, the game has surpassed 15 million copies sold to date.

Hogwarts Legacy is WB's “biggest launch ever”, shipping 12 million copies in the two weeks since launch for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5. Now a few months later, the game has surpassed 15 million copies sold. The game is now becoming available on Xbox One and PS4 consoles, meaning more gamers will be able to pick up the game and play.

Hogwarts Legacy should get another boost later in the year, as the game is still due to release on the Nintendo Switch. Even with its limited platform availability, the game has generated more than $1 billion in sales worldwide, which is an impressive feat.

Currently, there are ‘no plans' for Hogwarts Legacy DLC, but that could change now that the game is available on more platforms. Early indications show that the game is running fairly well on last-gen systems too.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
