Sony is ramping up promotion for Spider-Man 2, starting with a free prequel comic

We're still waiting on Sony and Insomniac to announce the release date for Spider-Man 2 but official news may be just around the corner. Sony appears to be ramping up its marketing around Spider-Man 2, starting off with the release of a prequel comic this week.

Spider-Man 2 is currently rumoured to be releasing in September, just like the first game back in 2018. In the meantime, fans can get a taste of what's to come through the new Spider-Man 2 #1 comic, written by Christos Gage and illustrated by Ig Guara. The comic will have Peter and Miles looking to stop a ritual taking place in an NYC warehouse.

The comic will be free digitally through the Marvel website or Marvel Unlimited app, and physically at select comic stores in the US.

Spider-Man 2 is set to release in 2023. The game will see Peter Parker and Miles Morales return to take on new threats, including Venom, Kraven and the Osborns.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
