There may be another Diablo 4 beta weekend happening

Blizzard recently shared the news that Diablo 4 has officially gone gold and the developers have already made a bunch of changes to the game based on feedback from the March beta weekends. Now, it appears Blizzard may be giving us another opportunity to play the game ahead of release.

Responding to a fan requesting more time with the game, the official Diablo Twitter account teases that this “can be arranged”. Next Tuesday marks six weeks until the game's official launch, which would give the development team plenty of time to reassess balance and the game's networking systems for launch.

Those who pre-order the deluxe or ultimate editions of the game will get early access anyway, starting on the 2nd of June, while everyone else will have to wait until the 6th of June. If there is an extra playtest scheduled in between now and June, it is unclear if it would be fully open, or reserved for pre-order customers.

Blizzard should give us official confirmation on this later today, as a developer stream is due to go live at 7PM BST, with updates on endgame content, changes since beta “and more”.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
