Armored Core 6 release date announcement seemingly imminent

Last week, we learned that FromSoftware's next major game, Armored Core VI, has been rated in Korea, which typically means a release date is imminent. Now, a leak through the Xbox store has added some fuel to the fire.

It would seem that From Software is gearing up to announce the release date for Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. The game appeared on the Xbox Store over the weekend and by pre-installing the game, users were able to launch the game to preview unreleased key art for the title. The leak first surfaced on Reddit, but a higher-quality version of the artwork was eventually captured.

The artwork is what appears when you first launch the game on Xbox. Typically, this is the lead key art image for the game, so expect to see this still frame in official marketing in the months to come.

Given that this leak came through the Xbox Store, we can assume that the game will indeed be a multi-platform release, hitting Xbox, PlayStation and PC. Given how quickly things are moving, we would anticipate a 2023 release date, if not early 2024, similarly to Elden Ring.

KitGuru Says: From Software has been laser-focused on souls-style games in recent years, so it will be interesting to see what they can do with an entirely different genre.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
