Hero Shooter LawBreakers could make a surprise return

LawBreakers was a promising Hero Shooter from Boss Key Productions and Cliff Blezinsky (of Gears of War fame). Released back in 2017, the game unfortunately struggled to find a foothold in the then-saturated market – leading it to ultimately be shut down just one year later. Half a decade later, LawBreakers might be returning based on a teaser by Blezinski himself.

Posting a somewhat cryptic message to Twitter, Cliff Blezinski said “Just got a text from my lawyer about…LawBreakers. Stay tuned.”

LawBreakers was published by Nexon, and so it would seem as though they had ownership over the rights. If we were to speculate slightly, it is possible that Blezinski has retrieved the rights to LawBreakers meaning we might eventually see a successor.

All that said, Blezinski has not released a game since 2017’s lawbreakers (aside from a battle royale game known as Radical Heights which ultimately did not see a full launch), and so it will be interesting to see what the creator has up his sleeve.

LawBreakers had a lot of potential, and so giving the game a second chance could prove to be exactly what it needs.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
