Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players encounter save-deleting bug

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launched with their fair share of issues and Game Freak has been slowly trying to get the game into better shape. Unfortunately, a recent update to the game that introduced expanded functionality and new content also introduced a bug that seems to be deleting some player save files.

According to a number of concerned players on Reddit (via VGC), after utilising the new in-game Pokemon Go link, they came back to the game to find their save file missing. Pokemon also doesn't support cloud saves on Switch in an effort to prevent exploits like Pokemon duplication, leaving you with little hope of getting your data back.

Nintendo and Game Freak have not yet acknowledged the issue. It does seem to be impacting a minority of players so far, but even so, a save-deleting bug should not be acceptable.

It would seem Game Freak still has some work to do on the base game before the new expansions for Scarlet and Violet start to drop.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
