Arkane might be preparing for a Redfall beta

Arkane has been playtesting Redfall for a long time, with one particular private playtest resulting in gameplay leaks back in 2021, when we still knew very little about the game officially. Soon, it looks like Arkane may give the public its first taste of the game, as evidence of an upcoming beta has been found.

Redfall is heading to Steam as well as Xbox Game Pass for PC at launch. In a backend update to the game on Steam, a EULA agreement can be found for a Redfall beta. This could be in place for Steam's private beta system, but it could also indicate plans for a public playtest in the months to come.

Redfall is a co-op focused game that can be played solo, but it is primarily designed around having up to four players. The game is set in the fictional town of Redfall, which has become overrun with vampires. In an open-world setting, you and up to three other players will travel around completing quests and taking down vampire leaders along the way to take back control of the town.

Redfall was originally going to come out in 2022, but was delayed earlier this year alongside Bethesda's next major RPG, Starfield. Both titles are now expected to land on Xbox and PC in the first half of 2023.

KitGuru Says: I don't have particularly high expectations for Redfall, but a well received public beta could certainly change that. Are many of you looking forward to this one?
