New Pokémon games will be announced next week

Pokémon Day lands on February 27th every year and typically, we get some new Pokemon announcements around that time too. This year will be no exception, with The Pokemon Company announcing its next showcase.

Pokemon Presents is essentially a Pokemon-focused Direct stream, with announcements of new games and other side projects. The next stream will be taking place on the 27th of February at 2PM GMT.

The stream will last for roughly 20 minutes, so we are likely going to get a few announcements covering different areas. Rather than ushering in a new set of Pokemon sequels this year, perhaps we'll see expansions for Scarlet and Violet, similarly to how Game Freak handled Sword & Shield back in 2019.

Nintendo also just recently added Game Boy and Game Boy Advance titles to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion pack. At the time, no Pokemon games were announced, but perhaps we'll be surprised with the return of a few classics.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
