Square Enix producer hints at Final Fantasy Tactics remaster

A couple of years ago, the GeForce Now database leak revealed a bunch of unannounced projects in development, including several new Final Fantasy games and remasters. One of the games listed was a Final Fantasy Tactics remaster, which Square Enix has seemingly been working on for quite some time and could be on track to release this year.

Following on from the recent release of Final Fantasy Theatrythm, producer Ichiro Hazama, has been taking interviews. In one interview with Finaland, Hazama touched on the topic of Final Fantasy Tactics, saying “the Tactics team is incredibly busy at the moment”.

This seems to be a tease for the previously leaked Final Fantasy Tactics remaster. Square Enix hasn't officially announced the game at this time, but with executives from the company now openly bringing up Tactics, it would seem that a proper reveal is imminent.

Final Fantasy Tactics is almost 26 years old at this point, so the beloved spin-off is long overdue a remaster for modern platforms.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
