Nintendo will reveal new Switch games in 40-minute Direct this week

Last week we heard rumours that a Nintendo Direct would be coming soon. While leakers had initially banked on this happening on the 6th of February, that date came and went without a word from Nintendo. That changed today, with Nintendo officially announcing its next big Direct.

Nintendo Direct will be airing tomorrow, the 8th of February at 2PM PST, or 10PM for those of us in the UK.

The new Direct will primarily focus on Nintendo Switch titles releasing in the first half of 2023, so don't expect to see much, if any of Nintendo's holiday season lineup. The stream will last for roughly 40 minutes, which means we should be getting more than a few announcements.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is Nintendo's big Switch exclusive for 2023, but there is also the chance we see expansions for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which have become the fastest-selling titles on Switch to date.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
