Cyberpunk 2077 is now Steam Deck verified

While Cyberpunk 2077 has been playable on the Steam Deck for quite some time, the game was not actually officially ‘Steam Deck Verified' by Valve. That changed this week, with the game officially joining the ranks of Deck-Vertified titles.

CD Projekt Red revealed this in a tweet this week, saying: “Can't get enough of Night City? Wish you could take it with you, wherever you go? Well now you can, because #Cyberpunk2077 has been Verified for #Steam Deck Compatibility! If you already have a copy of the game in your Steam Library then it's ready to run on your Steam Deck.”

The weird part about this is that Cyberpunk 2077 has had a specific Steam Deck graphics preset in the options menu for almost a year now and many have already played and tested the game on Steam Deck with good results. With that in mind, this isn't exactly big news, but it could provide a bit of a sales bump, as now Cyberpunk 2077 will be listed alongside other Verified titles for those looking to pick up new games for their Deck.

The announcement also arrives at a good time, as Cyberpunk 2077's major expansion, Phantom Liberty, is due to release later this year.
