Nintendo Direct reportedly happening this month

Nintendo typically goes live with a Nintendo Direct sometime during Q1 each year and it looks like 2023 will be no exception. According to new rumours, Nintendo is planning a Direct very soon.

According to Jeff Grubb in his latest podcast, Nintendo is planning a new Direct stream for February. It is believed that the stream will take place on Monday, the 6th of February, although as usual with Direct rumours, take that information with a pinch of salt, as Nintendo is notoriously secretive and has been known to move things around.

Ember, a leaker primarily known for movie leaks, has also seemingly chimed in here claiming that an announcement is imminent. While this source has previously had good info on films, like Spider-Man: Far From Home, they don't seem to have much of a track record in the gaming space.

Nintendo typically does host a Q1 Direct stream each year, revealing some of the big games arriving in the first half of the year. With that in mind, even if a Direct doesn't arrive next week, it is only a matter of time until Nintendo starts dropping news.

KitGuru Says: We already know that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be Nintendo's biggest game for the year, but the company usually has a few surprises up its sleeve. With that in mind, this Direct should end up being quite exciting.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
