Death Stranding is free on the Epic Games Store

For the final two weeks of 2022, Epic Games is giving away a new title for free every single day. Right now, those with an Epic Games account can get their hands on arguably one of the best games of the past generation: Death Stranding.

Available to add to your library right now (and will remain so until 26th of December at 4pm UK time), Death Stranding is a wholly unique and immersive open world stealth-action title from the mind of Hideo Kojima. First released in 2019 for PlayStation 4 exclusively, Death Stranding was later brought over to PC. The edition being given away for free was briefly the Director’s Cut which was only released earlier this year for PC, meaning some players managed to snag the complete Death Stranding experience for free. Unfortunately this was quickly changed to the base version, but regardless the game is excellent without the added content.

What’s more, a sequel and film adaptation were recently announced to be coming at some point in the future, meaning now is as good a time as any to get into what will soon be a transmedia franchise.

Death Stranding is available to add to your Epic Games library for free until 4pm on the 26th of December, at which point it will be replaced by an officially as-of-yet-unknown title (though leaks claim that it will in fact be F.I.S.T: Forged in Shadow Torch).

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
