Metroidvania “F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch” is free on the Epic Games Store

For the final two weeks of 2022, Epic Games is giving away a new title for free every single day. Right now, those with an Epic Games account can get their hands on the visually unique and ambitious action metroidvania ‘F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch’.

Available to add to your library right now (and will remain so until 27th of December at 4pm UK time), F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch is a side-scrolling 3D action metroidvania which has you explore over a dozen interconnected areas using 3 distinct fighting styles to make for varied and engaging combat.

The game features a unique combination of dieselpunk and oriental-style architecture aesthetics, making for a visually interesting explorable world. Unfortunately the game was mostly slept on following its release in October of last year, even though reviews for the title were solid.

If you missed this game when it first released, now is as good a time as any to give this uniquely styled metroidvania a chance, especially for the low price of free. F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch is available to add to your library right now, and will remain so until the 27th of December at 4PM UK time at which point it will be replaced by an as-of-yet unknown title.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
