WB Games Montreal is already working on their next game – possibly Superman

Gotham Knights launched in late October to middling reviews from critics and fans alike. That being said, the team behind the game – WB Games Montreal – seems to already be hard at work on their next title.

Previously, VGC reported that WB Games Montreal had begun working on their follow-up title to the less-than-stellar Gotham Knights. According to the report, the studio is moving away from Batman to instead work on a Superman game. While we do not yet have official confirmation of such a project from WB Games Montreal, a new update has revealed definitively that the team has started work on their next game.

As discovered by Emopulse, Bryan Theberge, the Senior Producer at WB Games Montreal updated their LinkedIn to reveal that as of December 2022, the team have been working on an ‘unannounced project’ with no other details revealed (aside from the fact that Theberge will reprise their role as Senior Producer for this title).

It is worth noting that all the way back in 2021 another LinkedIn post revealed that WB Games Montreal had been working on a second project alongside Gotham Knights, though it was not known how far into development this title was. With Gotham Knights now out, it seems work is going full steam ahead on this next project – whatever it may be.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
