Following leaks, Insomnia Games confirms Spider-Man 2 release window

Yesterday we reported that Spider-Man 2 seemed set to release during Fall of 2023 thanks to the personal website of one of the developers working at Insomniac Games. In the wake of this, the studio has released an official statement confirming that Marvel’s Spider-Man will be released in Fall 2023.

Making the announcement on the PlayStation Blog – alongside highlighting some of 2023’s biggest upcoming PS5 titles – the Creative Director for Spider-Man, Bryan Intihar, said:

“What a year it’s been for PlayStation Studios; here at Insomniac Games we’ve been in absolute awe of the work of our peers. Congrats to everyone on a successful 2022… and here’s to next year being just as exciting as we continue to get Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 ready for release next fall.”

It is unknown whether this fall release window was always planned to be announced, or whether the team’s hands were forced by the aforementioned leak. Regardless, it is exciting to know that by this time next year we will have played Spider-Man 2. Hopefully this means that a new trailer / game showcase is on its way soon. We will have to wait and see.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
