Cuphead The Delicious Last Course has sold 2 million copies

After years of waiting, eager fans were finally able to play Cuphead’s much-anticipated DLC. Having released back in June, the team at Studio MDHR have now revealed that The Delicious Last Course has already sold over 2 million copies.

Making the announcement on Twitter, Studio MDHR said “Much to our amazement, we can announce that The Delicious Last Course has gone Double Platinum, selling 2 million copies across all platforms!!”

The team continued: “We are so grateful to everyone who joined Cuphead, Mugman, and Ms. Chalice on this new adventure. Your support means the world to us.”

Cuphead first released all the way back in 2017, and so this DLC was long-anticipated. Though not quite the 6+ million copies which the original game has sold (as of July 2020), The Delicious Last Course is well on its way to reaching such heights considering it has sold 2 million in 6 months.

The future of Cuphead is currently unknown across all mediums, with the Delicious Last Course being the game’s only planned piece of DLC, and the Netflix show having released its trilogy of seasons over the course of 2022. That being said, considering the success of Cuphead and its DLC, this likely won’t be the end of the series. We will have to wait and see,

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
