We’re probably getting a Final Fantasy 16 trailer and release date at The Game Awards

Square Enix has been releasing big trailers for Final Fantasy 16 all year and it seems we're about to get another one soon. This week, The Game Awards confirmed that Final Fantasy 16 Producer, Naoki Yoshida, will be at the show to give a ‘very special live presentation'.

Final Fantasy 16 is scheduled to release in Summer 2023, but Square Enix has yet to put an official date on it. With Yoshida giving a live presentation at The Game Awards, it seems likely that we'll get a new release date trailer.

In recent months, Yoshida has stated in interviews that Final Fantasy 16 is in the ‘final stretch' of development. At this point, the game is content complete and playable from start to finish. Now, the team is focused on bug fixes and polishing.

KitGuru Says: Final Fantasy 16 might be getting a release date, but if it is PS5-exclusive, it is going to limit the number of players that can pick up the game at launch. Hopefully, a PC release won't be too far behind.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
