Street Fighter 6 release date leaks via PlayStation Store

The Game Awards will be going live in just a few hours time, but it seems that many of the impending announcements are already leaking. We've already seen Diablo 4 details leak out ahead of the event, and now, it looks like the release date reveal for Street Fighter 6 has also leaked.

While the Diablo 4 release date leaked through Microsoft's store, Street Fighter 6's release date has leaked through the PlayStation store instead. According to updated listings on the store, captured by Best Bros Play on Twitter, the game will be launching on the 2nd of June 2023:

Given the timing of the leak, it seems likely that a new release date trailer for Capcom's next fighter is dropping tonight during The Game Awards. For those of us in the UK, the show begins at 12:30AM, so expect to wake up to plenty of gaming news.

Street Fighter 6 was first announced a couple of months ago with a teaser trailer confirming a 2023 launch window. More recently, Capcom confirmed that the game would not be launching in Q1. Instead, Capcom is going for the summer crowd, which is perfect timing as there will be plenty of tournaments in late Q2 and Q3, which can be used to promote the game further.

KitGuru Says: Street Fighter is set to make its big return next year. Are you planning on picking up the new game?
