Deepcool introduces new dual-tower Assassin 4S CPU cooler

The DeepCool Assassin IV impressed us when we tested it last year, but now there is a cheaper version on the way. The new Assassin 4S cooler retains the dual-tower heatsink design, but shaves off some of the price tag by shipping with one fan instead of two.

The Assassin 4S features seven heat pipes routed through twin black-coated fin towers and a 140mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing fan between them. This design enhances the system's cooling efficiency and ensures sufficient clearance for RAM.

Its dual-mode selection sets the Assassin 4S apart from other air coolers. You can choose between quiet and performance modes by moving the slider to adjust the cooler to your specifications. In silent mode, the operation is whisper-quiet at 22.6 dB. In performance mode, the fan will go faster, operating at a rated 29.3 dB.

The Assassin 4S offers broad compatibility for various systems, supporting Intel (1700, 1200, 115x, 20xx) and AMD (AM5, AM4) sockets. The DeepCool Assassin 4S is now available in black and white with an MSRP of $79.99 and a 6-year limited warranty.

KitGuru says: We were impressed by the Assassin IV's easy installation, performance and RAM clearance when we tested it last year. The Assassin 4S should be just as good in many aspects.
