Kojima Productions’ next game ‘Overdose’ leaks

Over the summer, reports about Kojima's next game began to surface. So far, the game is known as ‘Overdose' and it will star one of the actors from Death Stranding, although the two games are supposedly not connected. Now, some additional screenshots of the game have surfaced.

Due to the leak this summer, many of us expected Overdose to be announced already, possibly at the Xbox conference. Kojima did make one announcement this summer – his studio is making an Xbox-exclusive game. However, the game wasn't actually announced or revealed in any way.

It appears that the trailer that we heard about earlier this summer has now begun leaking to a wider circle. Unfortunately, the direct capture footage has not leaked, but you can see the footage in a video filmed off-screen by a shirtless man. The streamable mirror may eventually be taken down, so if the link stops working, you'll have to look elsewhere. At the time of publishing, the video is still up.

With footage beginning to leak, we would think it is only a matter of time before the full-quality version of the video makes its way online. It is possible that Kojima Productions may try and get out ahead of the leak with an announcement at Geoff Keighley's The Game Awards in December.

KitGuru Says: From what we've seen so far, Overdose seems to be a horror game. If this is the game being developed in partnership with Xbox, then there may be some link to cloud gaming built in, but it is possible that this is another project entirely.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
