Cult of the Lamb gets limited time ‘Blood Moon Festival’ event

As we rapidly approach the end of October, Halloween is set to soon be upon us. As part of this, the rogue-lite cult management game ‘Cult of the Lamb’ has gotten a limited-time event called the Blood Moon Festival, adding new cosmetics, a new ritual and more.

Making the announcement, the Cult of the Lamb team detailed this first major update, saying “Rejoice, disciples of the Lamb! Loyal followers can celebrate the spooky season in style in Cult of the Lamb’s Blood Moon Festival, a new limited-time event starting today.”

The description for the event reads as follows; “Under the light of the Blood Moon devotees can harvest pumpkins to unlock a brand-new ritual that will raise former members of their cult, casting them back to the land of the living as wandering spirits. New follower forms and dreadful decorations will be granted upon their capture, but be quick about it, the Blood Moon will wane on November 10.”

In essence, this Blood Moon Festival update brings with it a brand-new ritual for you to perform; adds 3 new follower forms; 4 new base decorations and additional music.

Though not the biggest update in the world, the Blood Moon Festival represents a fun free addition to the game in time for Halloween. That being said, hopefully more substantive content comes to Cult of the Lamb in the future.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
