Resident Evil Showcase announced

For the past few years, Capcom has been hosting its own dedicated Resident Evil showcases, giving fans of the franchise updates on the many RE titles in the works. Suitable in line with the month of Halloween, Capcom has announced a Resident Evil showcase for later this week.

Making the announcement on Twitter, the official Resident Evil account said “The next Resident Evil Showcase begins October 20th at 3:00 PM PDT / 6 PM EDT / 11 PM BST! Featuring Resident Evil Village Gold Edition and Resident Evil 4, everyone is welcome to co-stream the event!”

Alongside Resident Evil Village and RE4 Remake, Capcom promised that the event will feature “more on the menu” – which could mean almost anything.

Resident Evil is a multi-media franchise and so the showcase could include details on a new Resident Evil game, a new show, or perhaps the announcement of another attempt at turning the games into films. Alternatively, Capcom could simply be referring to giving us a look at the long-delayed Resident Evil RE:Verse – a multiplayer title originally intended to release alongside RE Village in 2021.

Previous Resident Evil showcases have been solid and so while expectations should be kept in check, the showcase is certainly worth keeping an eye on.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
