Bandai Namco teases Tekken 8 at Evo 2022

Evo 2022 officially wrapped up after several days of tournaments and exciting fighting game reveals. During the event, Bandai Namco seemed to confirm that Tekken 8 is now on the way.

Following on from the Tekken 7 Global Finals at Evo 2022, Bandai Namco released a new update trailer for Tekken 7. Towards the end of the trailer, we get a new teaser cutscene, showing Kazuya Mishima dropping Heihachi Mishima off of a cliff before turning to the camera and smiling, the words ‘get ready' then appear on screen as the trailer ends.

The scene harkens back to the original Tekken and appears to confirm that Tekken 8 is now on the way. Unfortunately, the teaser does not reveal anything else, so we'll be waiting until 2023 for more information.

Tekken 7 first released in 2015 and has been well supported since then with frequent updates and DLC characters. Tekken 7 will be getting one more free update on the 17th of August, introducing new balance changes.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
