Nintendo is hosting a 30-minute Direct this week for Splatoon 3

Back in June, Nintendo held a 20-minute Direct to fully showcase Xenoblade Chronicles 3 before its July launch date. Another major Nintendo Switch exclusive is just around the corner – Splatoon 3, and Nintendo will be hosting a dedicated Direct for that game too.

The next Nintendo Direct will be a special presentation showcasing Splatoon 3. The game was first announced last year with a Summer 2022 release date, and then ended up getting a new September release date during Nintendo's big February Direct stream.

This week on the 10th of August, Nintendo will hold another Direct, this time focusing entirely on Splatoon 3. The stream will be roughly half an hour, giving us a look at new gameplay, modes, weapons and other changes.

We can also likely expect some kind of Splatoon 3-edition Switch console, as this will be one of Nintendo's biggest first-party games of the year. In the holiday season, the Switch will get a few second-party exclusives too in the form of Bayonetta 3 and Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
