We’ll be getting another look at Pokémon Scarlet & Violet this week

Since early 2022, Game Freak has been slowly revealing more about its next generation of Pokémon. Pokémon Scarlet & Violet are due to launch later this year, expanding on the open world gameplay introduced with Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Later this week, The Pokémon Company will be holding a stream where we should get another look at gameplay.

Game Freak began the year by launching Pokémon Legends: Arceus for the Nintendo Switch, featuring new open world gameplay and Monster Hunter inspired missions and exploration. Swiftly after launch, the company surprised us with the announcement of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, also due out this year. So far, we've seen the starter and main legendary Pokémon, as well as some small snippets of gameplay through trailers.

On Wednesday, the 3rd of August, at 2PM BST, a Pokémon Presents stream will go live. The show will include updates on various Pokémon apps and video games, with Pokémon Scarlet & Violet being the headliner.

Currently, Scarlet & Violet are due to launch in November 2022 for the Switch. We should get another look at gameplay and confirmation of some new and returning Pokémon.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
