Ravenlok is an Alice in Wonderland-like adventure game launching next year

If you're a fan of twisted fairy-tale stories, Ravenlok might be right up your alley. Announced during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, this new action-adventure title was developed by Cococucumber, the same team behind Echo Generation and Riverbond.

Reading Ravenlok's description and seeing the game's art and visuals, it's hard not to compare it with Alice In Wonderland. In this game, you play as a young girl that finds a magical mirror that pulls her into a dark world reigned by Caterpillar Queen. Here, you'll find numerous weird-looking creatures that you'll need to fight so you can return home.

As the last entry to the voxel trilogy developed by Cococucumber, Ravenlok follows the same principles. It's a “tale of creativity and wonder inspired by classic fables and fairy tales”, featuring similar 3D pixel visuals, unique appeal, and a profound story. As per the developers, Ravenlok offers fast-paced action combat against fantasy creatures and a mystical atmosphere complemented by a suspenseful soundtrack.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
