Suikoden spiritual successor ‘Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising’ heading to Xbox Game Pass

Back in 2020, a group of former Suikoden developers formed a new studio and kickstarted Eiyuden Chronicle, a new JRPG and spiritual successor to Suikoden. Following a successful campaign, the scope of the project expanded to include a smaller prequel game, which will now be releasing in May as a day-one Xbox Game Pass title.

Today, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising was announced to be releasing on the 10th of May across all the same platforms Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be available on – including PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch. In Xbox's case, Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising will also be coming to Xbox Game Pass on day-one.

This game will be a smaller RPG introducing players to the new world we'll be exploring further in the main game, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Currently, that game is scheduled to release in 2023.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
