Rainbow Six Extraction is coming to Xbox Game Pass for console and PC on day-one

Earlier this week, Ubisoft revealed the PC system requirements for its upcoming Siege PvE spin-off, Rainbow Six Extraction. Today, the publisher had even more news to share, revealing that the game will be launching on Xbox Game Pass day-one for both console and PC. 

Rainbow Six Extraction is set to launch for consoles and PC on the 20th of January. If you weren't planning on buying it, you may feel like giving it a shot as part of the Game Pass library, Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass on console and PC will both get access to the game at launch, marking the first time Ubisoft has supported Microsoft's subscription with a day-one title.

Ubisoft's investment into subscription services is only going to grow this year as well. The publisher has also announced that Ubisoft+ will soon be coming to Xbox. Unlike EA Play, it sounds like Ubisoft+ will be a standalone subscription and won't be bundled with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Ubisoft+ has been available on PC for a few years now, and similarly to EA Play Premier, Ubisoft's subscription is on the expensive side, but grants access to brand new game releases on day-one. Whether Ubisoft makes any changes to the service prior to its launch on Xbox remains to be seen.

KitGuru Says: With this now coming to Xbox Game Pass on day-one, it makes you wonder if Ubisoft is worried about attracting enough players at launch. Extraction has had very little hype behind it after several lengthy delays. Either way, will you be giving this a download now that it is coming to Game Pass?
