Warner Bros denies claims it is selling off NetherRealm or TT Games

With WarnerMedia being spun off and merging with Discovery to form a new company, questions have been raised around the future of certain WB Games studios. Recently, it was suggested that NetherRealm and TT Games could be sold to another publisher, but WB has now denied these rumours.

The rumour started on the Xbox Two podcast, where one of the hosts claimed to have seen documents indicating that Warner was interested in selling off these studios and that there was interest from other publishers.

However, in a statement sent to The Gamer, Warner Bros denied the claims, stating that “NetherRealm Studios and TT Games will continue to remain a part of Warner Bros. Games, and all are included in the Warner Media Discovery merger’.

Warner Bros. Games has a number of big studios and franchises under its belt, including the likes of Monolith, Rocksteady, Avalanche, NetherRealm and more.

KitGuru Says: Given that NetherRealm handles Mortal Kombat and Injustice, and TT Games handles the Lego games, I would have been very surprised if either were up for sale. For now, it looks like neither studio will be going anywhere.
