Halo Infinite multiplayer showcased at E3 2021

Last night during the Xbox and Bethesda E3 showcase, 343 Industries returned to the spotlight to showcase more Halo Infinite. While last year's showing offered campaign gameplay, this year, the team decided to show off the game's multiplayer portion. 

Halo Infinite multiplayer will be free to play and will offer up to 120 frames per second performance on the Xbox Series X. Classic game modes will return but thanks to new abilities introduced in Infinite, such as the grapple hook, players can experiment and find new and creative ways to dominate matches.

Those jumping into Halo for the very first time will be able to play the new Spartan Academy mode, which will help players become familiar with new maps, weapons and equipment. Additionally, Halo Infinite is introducing bot matches for the first time, so players can warm up and practise against AI enemies before jumping into competitive/ranked multiplayer modes.

Unfortunately, while Halo Infinite multiplayer was revealed last night, an exact release date was not given. We do know that Halo Infinite will have a series of technical playtests over the Summer, which Halo Insiders will be invited to. Currently, Halo Infinite is still expected to release in ‘Holiday 2021'.
