Resident Evil Re:Verse delayed to 2022

When Resident Evil Village was first announced, it was supposed to come with its own multiplayer mode, Re:Verse. The mode ran into problems immediately upon beta testing and was delayed until July. Now, Re:Verse won't be coming until 2022.

In a tweet today, Capcom confirmed that Re:Verse will no longer be releasing this month. Instead, it is being moved until 2022 and unfortunately, there is no information on whether this will be ‘early' 2022 or if it will be coming later in the year.

“The previously announced July 2021 launch of Resident Evil Re:Verse is being moved to 2022”, Capcom wrote. This is so that “the team can continue working to deliver a smooth gameplay experience”. More details will be shared “at a later time”.

Capcom has also encouraged anyone that bought a boxed copy of Resident Evil Village to keep track of, or redeem their code for Re:Verse so that they can still play it when it comes out.

KitGuru Says: It looks like Re:Verse may not arrive until nearly a year after Village's launch, which raises some questions around how many people are going to want to play it at that point. Did any of you play Re:Verse during its beta? Were you looking forward to the final release?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
