Rainbow Six Quarantine is reportedly being renamed to Rainbow Six Parasite

It has been a couple of years since Ubisoft announced Rainbow Six Quarantine – a spin-off based on Rainbow Six Siege with PvE gameplay. Since then, the world has been dealing with a global pandemic with real-world quarantines taking place. Due to this, the game will soon be changing its branding to Rainbow Six Parasite.

The change was first spotted by MP1st, after finding a new image on the PlayStation Store. The new image became public after a patch was updated to PSN, presumably for a pre-release version of the game currently in testing.

As we can see from the image above, the game now appears to be called Rainbow Six Parasite. Interestingly, the patch that this image was found in was an “initial launch patch”, indicating that the game will release quite soon.

During Ubisoft's recent quarterly earnings call, the publisher confirmed that this game would be releasing in 2021, seemingly putting an end to a number of delays.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
