EA reportedly making final decision on Anthem this week

It has been two years since BioWare first released Anthem and around 18 months since the studio decided to take the game back to the drawing board. Anthem's 2.0 update has been in the works for a long time now but we know very little about it. That could change soon, as EA is apparently making a final decision on whether to go through with re-launching Anthem or not.

According to a Bloomberg report this week, EA and BioWare executives are meeting this week to discuss the status of Anthem. Depending on this meeting, the Anthem reboot could gain additional resources for a final development push, which is presumably the outcome BioWare is looking for.

This is all part of the development milestones EA puts in place for all major projects. Recently, BioWare Austin's Christian Daily, who formed the small incubation team to figure out where Anthem went wrong, joined the Dragon Age 4 team.

This leaves the Anthem team in need of new leadership, which has likely been figured out internally, but we don't know who has taken over the project publicly.

KitGuru Says: Hopefully this leads to some big Anthem news in the near future, as the game has seemingly been stuck in limbo for a long time now.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
